Congratulations to Hillary Clinton and her supporters for the win in West Virginia.
Clinton netted 137,410 of the popular vote.
Many estimated that West Virginians would vote upwards or over 500,000 to 600,000, but that was not the case.
The turnout was lower.
Moving on....

from a candidate with no money, who and I agree has come into her own as a candidate, but is too many states, TOO LATE.
Now the campaign has turned into a divided party. And Clinton is doing just this.
I don't know what she wants, but after all she has done, she does not deserve the VP spot. In fact, all she has "said" will come back to bite all Democrats in the ass with the "527s ads", if Clinton is on the ticket.
Moving on....
This is a strong ad and should run in the swing states.
Take a look.

barack and michelle in raleigh, nc after winning the north carolina primary
Ok.
This is it.
I just saw Peggy Noonan, a Republican, a Conservative on Morning Joe, call out Clinton and the Democratic Leadership.
It is time to move and SNATCH Hillary "I Got the White Votes" Clinton from the stage.
No more excuses, no more nothing.
She and her husband are distasteful. Period.

Karen Tumulty of Time Magazine has an excellent piece surmising what went wrong with Hillary Clinton's campaign.
This article relates to exactly what I was looking for in the next Democratic Nominee.
I did not want an insider of Washington. After Katrina, I believe anyone reading this will concur; Washington works for itself not the people of this country.
I did not want the same old politician. I can get that locally from my state representative that lives down a few blocks from me. The same old speech, the same old pitch, the same old request for a check.
I wanted a politician who will tell the truth, whether I agreed or disagreed, I wanted to hear it straight, no crap.
That is why Hillary Clinton was disqualified for me.

icebergslim, here.
on break in indiana, here.
to tell you all this: DON'T FALL FOR THE MEDIA HYPE
I don't know how many diaries must be written or trounced into heads here, but don't fall for it.
Here is why, below the fold:
until Hillary Clinton is out of the Democratic Primary Process.
What do I mean? Read the following:
We must have our eyes WIDE OPEN, wit in check, and counter punches ready for November.
While many are worried, or not worried (I am not) about Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the GOP should be deathly worried about the MSNBC/Wall Street Journal Poll.
Bush is the albatross, the elephant in the room, the oxygen sucker for the GOP and John McCain.
As long as McCain continues to promote, pimp, pump Bush's agenda, we are looking at a third term of George W. Bush. In November, this election will be about CHANGE, because the public will demand it.
The Republican Party must stand by their record of the past eight years.
gary, indiana
Yes.
MAKE.IT.WORK.....
That is what this campaign is about, Making it Work, for Americans.
Winthrop farmer Richard Machacek, an Iowa superdelegate, said today he is pledging to support Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.
Machacek, a member of the Democratic National Committee, had been uncommitted. He said he saw little difference between Obama and New York Sen. Hillary Clinton on policy positions or ability.
Really.
Many of you must be new to politics. Don't you understand politics is a sea of waves shifting, turning, clashing and then some calm?
If not, you need to leave it alone.
Last I heard, we are the frontrunner and winning.
Last I heard, Clinton is begging for a debate and won't get it.
Last I heard, we have the pledged delegate lead and popular vote lead.
Last I heard, we got more MONEY.

Note: Next edition of This Week With Barack Obama, April 27-May 3, 2008 will be under the management of Al Rodgers, next Sunday, May 4, 2008. I am in Indiana from Friday through Wednesday, for the crucial Indiana Primary on Tuesday May 6, 2008. I will be working in NW Indiana between Gary, Valparaiso and South Bend. So, give Al the love you give me on this weekly. Peace.
Oh, and please digg it!!!!
I woke up today to read two stirring diaries by two of my favorite diarists, kid oakland and teacherken. Both thought provoking and on point.
But I am going to go further, because I can being African American and growing up in this community.
And I will go even a greater step further. If the Democrats do not stand up and get a spine they will lose in November.
Here we go again.
This is the true test of the Democratic Party.
To allow a candidate, who is married to a former president, who lay down like a dead dog in February, lost 12 in a row, to somehow tell us that she is re-writing the Democratic Party rules?
This primary season is about delegates, NOT popular vote.

Here we go again, a sorry ass debate about NOTHING.
In fact it is a "Gotcha Debate" more than anything else.
And why should George Stephanopolous who once worked for The Clintons be a moderator? Conflict of interest?
And these questions are the worst, which brings back memories of my diary about CNN=Clinton News Network.
